Shed ramp sizing guide
1. Plank width and count (by door width)

Use at least two planks. Want full-width coverage? Add more planks, as long as the combined width doesn’t exceed the door opening.

To check: divide your equipment’s total weight by its number of wheels. Each plank’s rating should meet or beat that per-wheel load, with the load along the center of the plank. Not for cars or trucks.
4. Top style
Standard Top hooks onto an IM threshold or mounting track for the most stable, tool-free on/off connection. Universal Top sits right on your threshold with no extra hardware. Add a Universal Mounting Track and the planks can stay in place when the door is closed.

What size shed ramp do I need?
Measure your door width and the rise from the ground to the top of your threshold. For 4′ to 8′ doors, use two 23″ wide planks. For 3′ doors, use two 15″ planks, and for 9′ to 16′ doors, use two 35″ planks. For length, a 0–6″ rise needs 36–48″, 7–12″ needs 54″, 13–18″ needs 60″, and 19–24″ needs 66–72″. Which shed ramp is best for a riding mower, ATV, side-by-side or tractor?
Standard-duty aluminum planks are for riding mowers, zero-turns and ATVs. Heavy duty is for side-by-sides and golf carts, and ultra heavy duty is for compact tractors. Divide the machine’s weight by its number of wheels, and pick a plank rated at or above that per-wheel load.
Can the ramp stay in place when the shed door is closed?
